Getting started
Create your account
Sign up with a company name, an email address and a password. The account is created and you are signed in.
A verification email is sent to your address. Verify it before sending an invoice or inviting a teammate, both of which require a verified sender.
Your 14-day trial starts at signup. No card is required (see Billing & plan).
Set up your account
Go to Settings → Account. These details appear on documents your clients see.
| Field | Used for |
|---|---|
| Company name | Invoices and emails clients receive |
| Billing address | Invoices |
| Timezone | Reminder chases and recurring invoice schedules run on this clock |
| Currency | All amounts in Work: USD, EUR, GBP, CAD or AUD |
| Tax ID | Invoices. Optional |
Upload your logo on the same screen. It appears at the top of every invoice.
Account settings are owner-only. If the Account tab is not visible, you are a member of this account.
Set up your profile
Settings → Profile is available to every role.
- Avatar: PNG or JPEG up to 2 MB, cropped to a 256 px square.
- Handle: your name, shown as
@namein the app. - Email address: changing it sends a verification email to the new address.
- Password: requires your current password.
Light and dark mode is the toggle in the header, not a settings field. The choice is stored per browser.
Import existing data
Work imports contacts, companies and deals from CSV (see Importing data).
Invite your team
Settings → Members → Invite a teammate. The invitation link is valid for 7 days. Accepting it sets a password and joins the account.
Each person is an owner or a member. Members see only the tasks assigned to them and cannot reach Account, Billing, Tax rates, API tokens, Audit log or Data (see Team & invitations).
Every person on the account is a billed seat. The count and cost are at the bottom of the Members screen.
